Dom Dimare, owner of 10 Ring Training has been shooting all types of firearms since he was a young boy. His got his first rifle, a ruger 10/22 for Christmas and he was hooked. He started shooting and training with handguns as soon as he was of the required age. He originally was a member of the Pearl River Gun Club, and was shooting at their range on a regular basis. He began taking classes through the NRA, in which he became a Life Member. He then started shooting in local IDPA and USPSA matches. As the years went on, he moved upstate and a friend took him as a guest to a local gun club in Chester, NY. After completing a tour of the grounds, he said to his friend, “I need to become a member!” A year later, he was voted into the club. After only a short time being a member, he took over the Recording Secretary position, a position which he still holds today. Dom then got more involved with the NRA and starting taking instructor courses. He had such a love for the sport, he decided he wanted to share some of his knowledge with the rest of the shooting community. At this time, he also started training to become a New York State Licensed Hunter Education Instructor. The club he was affiliated with had a longtime instructor who had passed on and left a huge void in the education system. Dom presented a training proposal to the Board of Directors and a few months later, was named the Education Chairman for the club. Dom holds numerous qualifications noted below:
